What is Capture One?
Capture One is a software that is primarily used as a multimedia editor and a camera software. This software comes in two different versions namely Standard and Pro. The software is designed and released by the company Phase One.
One of the main functionalities of the software is its capability to process RAW files taken by any standard DSLR cameras. The RAW files are processed so as to maintain the natural properties and colors. Any modification done on the raw files is considered non-destructive as the software is likewise capable of preserving the original files. The features of the software are developed by a group of camera experts which eventually came up with camera profiles that are tailored made for different types of users. It also has a noise-reduction functionality.
Capture One is also equipped with catalogs that can be used in managing the files taken by the camera. The catalogs are provided to let users manage the data they have as well as for virtual organization purpose. Taking photos can also be done remotely using the software and with its Live View functionality, the clients of the users can also see the developments of the photo shoot.
