Cantabile was designed to answer the problems faced by performing musicians. Cantabile can control functions like playing VSTs, activating media clips, switching from one song to another while adding them in the users existing hardware via MIDI. Users can use the MIDI, wave and mp3 files for pre-recorded tracks, sound effects, loops and activate them from a button on the keyboard or just by hitting a note.
Cantabile's audio engine offers low-latency performance and controls the extra processing power of modern multi-core processors. It is supported by a 64-bit audio. The x64 edition means that Cantabile is set for the present and future generation of amazing plugins. And to keep everything moving along, Cantabile re-uses plugins from the previous session up to the next sessions. Additionally, Cantabile can pre-load a complete set of plugins and then use sub-sessions to instantly switch between them.
