Cantabile Lite
If you are looking for Cantabile Lite, you have come to the right place. We explain what Cantabile Lite is and point you to the official download.
What is Cantabile Lite?
Topten Software’s Cantabile is a live performance workplace program that functions to some extent as the digital equivalent of a plug-in host for live musicians. The program can be found in three versions: Performer, Solo and Lite. Lite has the fewest features of all three, but it is also the only free option, with the Performer going for over $100 and Solo less than half of that. All versions have a user guide.
With Cantabile Lite, users can choose and add their own plug-ins as well as VST instruments and effects on a highly modifiable and stackable set of racks. All racks are given their own MIDI device/channel selection settings. The Lite version also includes Morph and Randomize effects that users can leverage for the creation of unique audio products through plug-ins: they can control plug-in performance by either “morphing” the plug-in’s settings from one preset to another, or by altering settings entirely at random. Besides that, users can manage their preset libraries for plug-ins using the Program Organizer and help keep musical time with the Metronome. The software also supports multiple cores as well as X64 architectures.
