What is Bamboo Dock?

Bamboo Dock is software developed by Fi, or better known as Fantasy Interactive, for Wacom Technologies. The Dock is an add-on for the Bamboo pen and tablet product suite. Once installed, Bamboo Dock will be displayed on the desktop. There are versions for Windows and Mac, which are available at the Wacom website.

Basically, the Bamboo Dock enables the user to download mini applications, colloquially called Minis, from the Apps page of Wacom or through the “Add Items” option included in Bamboo Dock. The software already comes pre-installed with a few Minis so the user can immediately get the feel of how to use their apps through their Bamboo pen and tablet.

Application categories include drawing, sketching, music composition and games. Applications include LiveBrush, which allows the user to draw using a brush tool; Paper Cakes, a puzzle game; and DrawTweet, an interesting application that allows the user to share their drawings via Twitter.

The Apps webpage displays featured apps from time to time; while the Bamboo Dock alerts the user if there are new Minis available for download.
