What is B1 Free Archiver?
B1 Free Archiver is a free software program that serves as a compression and decompression tool for home users. The software supports popular archiving formats such as ZIP, RAR, 7z and B1.
On the program’s Graphical User Interface, the user is provided with the software’s task options: Create, Open or Extract. To create an archive, click on the Create button and the window for creating archives will be displayed. To open an archive, click on the Open button and the user will be provided with a quick access to the files stored on the PC. Computer drives and folders will be displayed on the left side of the user interface. The Open option will display contents of the archive without extracting the files first. This allows the user to extract individual files, if extracting the entire archive contents is not preferred by the user.
Clicking on the Extract button will display a prompt that will ask the user for the destination folder of the extracted files. When extraction is started, a progress bar will be displayed to inform the user of the Time Elapsed and Time Remaining for completion of the extraction process.
