Azureus

If you are looking for Azureus, you have come to the right place. We explain what Azureus is and point you to the official download.

What is Azureus?

Azureus is a BitTorrent client from Vuze that enables users to download torrent files using the Java BitTorrent protocol. BitTorrent is a P2P file sharing protocol that allows users to download movies, music and other files from the Internet through a peer-to-peer network.

Azureus allows the system to recognize and download BitTorrent torrent files, and also connects the user to the P2P network currently seeding the file to be downloaded. It also enables multiple downloads of BitTorrent files.

The program’s browser window includes a search box that enables users to search for and locate specific media content and other files which are available as a BitTorrent download. Apart from its main function as a BitTorrent file downloader, the software also includes a player that can enable the user to play videos in High Definition mode. The user can drag and drop a downloaded torrent file onto the player to watch a video.

This is free software that is offered to the public via the GNU General Public License. Azureus is the former name of the software program. It is now commonly known as Vuze.
