What is Applian FLV Player?

Applian FLV Player is a computer program for playing Flash video files on the computer. The software is provided for free by the publisher, Applian Technologies Inc. and can be downloaded from the Applian website.

FLV is the general format of videos from YouTube and other media-sharing sites. This format is also not universally supported by media players. Applian FLV Player serves as a separate player designed to exclusively play FLV files downloaded from video-sharing websites.

The player allows the user to play back an FLV file from where it was stopped, and with the same audio settings pre-set by the user.

To extend its functions, the player also allows for installation of a free audio recorder, the Freecorder Toolbar, a link for which is provided on the publisher’s website. The user is able to capture any audio that it detects on the computer, including audio from video files. The recorded audio can be saved in MP3 format.

Applian FLV Player was developed by Martjin De Visser. It can run on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7; including Windows 7 in 64-bit platform.
