Algebrator

If you are looking for Algebrator, you have come to the right place. We explain what Algebrator is and point you to the official download.

What is Algebrator?

Algebrator has a dynamic, WYSIWYG worksheet interface that facilitates its ultimate purpose: to present a computer application for helping students of all levels make sense of algebra. The program is a no-frills educational application, and as such has no games, no tricks, and no “fun” lesson plans inside it: what it does have is a set of tools that can help algebra learners do algebra problems (like their actual homework) and explain to them exactly how to solve each problem as well as why it needs to be solved in that way. By providing a detailed, step-by-step application of algebraic concepts, the program encourages student learning and logical retention of the lesson.

The program is much like a homework helper. Users can let it show them the precise steps to solving a problem they have entered into its interface or try to work out the answer first by themselves, then let Algebrator tell them what they did right, what they did wrong, what the right answer is, and how to arrive at it. Users can even select the level of help they get from the program to properly test themselves at their levels.
