What is PureEdge Viewer?

PureEdge Viewer is software that was initially developed for the United States Army and Air Force. The software served as a viewer for government forms, allowing the user to fill-out and submit government e-forms. The software is now available for public use.

PureEdge Viewer provides the user with a program that will allow them to download, fill-out and send forms and applications to government websites. The software provides support for XFD, FRM and XFDL files. It also serves as a PDF reader. With the software, the user is able to submit electronically forms to government-run websites, generally those with the .gov extension on their domain names.

The software is designed to be compatible with Windows operating systems, from Windows 98 to ME, up to Windows 2000, XP and higher. Other requirements include at least 500 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM, 40 MB disk space, and a Web browser ( Internet Explorer 5.01 and up). It can be installed on a desktop computer or laptop. The software is distributed as freeware, and can be downloaded from the Internet.
