LazPaint

If you are looking for LazPaint, you have come to the right place. We explain what LazPaint is and point you to the official download.

What is LazPaint?

LazPaint is software that provides the user with an image editing program. The software is named as such because it was written in the Lazarus cross-platform integrated development environment (IDE), using the Free Pascal compiler.

The program provides the user with a set of tools that can be utilized to edit images, or create paint drawings. Users can import their image files or photos onto the LazPaint interface, to allow them to manipulate the files.

LazPaint features the BGRABitmap, which provides a pre-defined set of utilities for editing images. This application provides five different functions: TBGRAMultishapeFiller, for anti-aliased junctions, accessible through BGRAPolygon; TBGRATextEffects, integrated in BGRATextFX; BGRATransform allows for 2D image editing; TBGRAScene3D, integrated in BGRAScene3D; and TBGRALayeredBitmap, integrated in BGRAlayers.

The software also provides hotkey functions for some of its tasks. For instance, F6 will either hide or show the tools windows; while the CTRL key will enable the user to align image pixels.

The user interface includes a color circle pane and a tools pane, and provides access to other tasks that the program can do. LazPaint is compatible with Windows computers and is offered for free under GNU GPL.
