Geek Squad Hour Computer Support or Geek Squad 24-Hour Computer Support is a service provided by Geek Squad Agents, to anyone that comes to them for help with anything related to their computers, systems or otherwise.
LogMeIn Rescue is software that allows users to remotely access a computer, directly from their location. The software is utilized by Geek Squad to provide computer troubleshooting services to anyone, from anywhere, 24/7.
The software package provides three programs:, one for starting a session from the Geek Squad terminal, one for allowing access to the customer’s computer, and one for allowing Geek Squad administrators to assign technicians to a specific customer channel.
The first program, called Technician Console, allows an agent to start a session with a customer queued up in the request list. When a technician/agent responds to a customer request, the customer will be prompted that a Customer Applet will be installed on their system. This applet will allow the technician to remotely access the customer’s desktop. Once session ends, the applet automatically uninstalls.
LogMeIn Rescue is available in the following languages: English, Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, and Portuguese.
