If you are looking for Bandizip, you have come to the right place. We explain what Bandizip is and point you to the official download.

What is Bandizip?

Bandizip is an archive compression and decompression utility developed by Bandisoft, specifically for Windows computers. The program supports popular archive formats for both compression and decompression processes such as ZIP, ZIPX, TAR, TGZ, TZ and EXE. For decompression or extraction only, the program supports the following formats: RAR, ACE, WAR, ARJ, JAR, LHA, LZH, XZ, APK, ALZ, PMA, BH, TBZ and TBZ2, CAB, BZ and BZ2 and EGG.

The program features the drag and drop mode for adding files for compression. Files that cannot be compressed can also be added to the archive via the drag and drop feature of the program. The program also allows simultaneous creation and extraction of archives through the Windows Explorer window.

It supports creation of multiple volumes of archives and is able to create self-extracting files so that the user with no file decompression program installed on the computer can still view the files from the archives. Files are automatically extracted to the destination folder instead of the Temp folder. It likewise features a Preview Archive tool to enable the user to see all contents of the archive prior to extraction.
