Opening TDT files

Did your computer fail to open a TDT file? We explain what TDT files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your TDT files.

What is a TDT file?

TDT is an acronym for THOR Data Tree. TDT files are used by the THOR-Merlin database application.

The THOR-Merlin software is used to store and review chemical information. The TDT files that are used by this program are stored in plain text format and are then used to transmit chemical information between various software applications.

The TDT files that are used by the Thor Data Tree are saved in a plain-text format.

Files that contain the .tdt file suffix are also known to store AVCHD thumbnail files. These files are thumbnail icons of a high-def video recording. The file format was introduced by Sony and Panasonic in 2006 for their digital HD camcorders.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
