If you are looking for WinShrink, you have come to the right place. We explain what WinShrink is and point you to the official download.
What is WinShrink?
WinShrink is a simple but powerful archiving tool that lets users create compressed file archives in a number of formats, including ZIP, JAR, 7Z, TAR, RAR, ZOO, ACE, BH and LHA. When creating archives, the user has the ability to pick his preferred compression level for the archive (there are 3 options provided). Another configuration option for creating archives on the tool is for archive protection: encrypted archives can be made using the software. Users can even choose to create archives that are all write-protected, i.e. purely read-only archives and files.
WinShrink has an archive file format converter and a scheduling utility for automating archive creation or editing: a user can set the scheduling tool to create an archived, compressed copy of a particular directory on a specific date, for instance, or to perform updates of an archived directory’s compressed file at regular intervals to ensure it remains true to the real-time contents of that directory. Zipped files can be sent to other locations via FTP technology and users can also create self-executing compressed files, which can unzip themselves even on systems devoid of archive extraction software.
