What is WinMount Application?

WinMount Application refers to the software WinMount, which is software developed by WinMount International, Inc. The program has two main functions: compress and decompress archives, and mount disc images.

As a compression and decompression utility, the software has the capacity to handle popular archive formats such as ZIP, 7ZIP, ISO, MOU, RAR, CAB, ARJ, GZ, BZ2, TAR and WIM. In particular, WinMount is able to create archives in ZIP, 7ZIP, ISO and MOU formats; while decompression is enabled for all mentioned archives. MOU is a proprietary archive format developed specifically for the WinMount archiving application.

As a mounting tool, the user can mount CD and DVD images. For CD images, users can mount APE, FLAC and WV; while for DVD images, it is able to mount ISO, CUE, BIN, CCD, BWT, IMAG, ISZ, MDS, MDF and NRG images. In addition to mounting CD and DVD images, the software is also capable of mounting archives as virtual disks or as a virtual folder.

WinMount Application is compatible with the 32-bit and 64-bit platforms of Windows operating systems.
