If you are looking for VTIFF, you have come to the right place. We explain what VTIFF is and point you to the official download.

What is VTIFF?

VTIFF is a Vicar2 associated application that can be used to convert between Vicar labeled images and tiff file formats. The program uses either scanline (strip) organization, or the newer Revision 6.0 TIFF tiled-image format in conversion. At present, it supports grayscale, image-lookup table pairs and RGB triplets. In addition, you can place multiple auxiliary images such as "thumbnail" preview images in the output file.

Vicar2 file, also known as planetary file format, is a format originated by NASA or JPL and is mainly used to store bitmap data. On the other hand, TIFF or the “tagged image file format” is a file type that serves as the public standard for platform-independent raster-image storage and transmission.
