If you are looking for VSRip, you have come to the right place. We explain what VSRip is and point you to the official download.
What is VSRip?
VSRip is a standalone DVD subtitle extractor to VobSub file formats. It also outputs closed caption as .srt when found. It is also known as DirectVobSub. It is a software add-on for Microsoft Windows that can read external subtitle files, and impose them on a playing video file. VSRip and VSFilter were formerly parts of an entire application known as VobSub, which was also able to extract subtitles from DVD videos, as well as create text-based subtitles, without having to rip the DVD into a file first. The last version of VobSub was version 2.23.
After that, the development ceased. VSFilter was also a part of the Guliverkli Project on the SourceForge website. Just like VobSub, the Guliverkli Project had the ability to extract subtitles from a DVD through the VobSub ripper program. But the development ceased in 2005 with version 2.37. VSRip is capable of extracting subtitles from a DVD without having to rip it from a file. Operating system includes Windows XP Professional, and Windows 7.
