If you are looking for Unwipe, you have come to the right place. We explain what Unwipe is and point you to the official download.

What is Unwipe?

Unwipe is a data recovery application for users who have deleted items that they want to recover afterwards. Most deleted files are recoverable provided the disk or storage medium on which they used to be located were not used or written to afterwards: “ghost” data remains provided this is the case, since deleting files permanently or from a Recycle Bin actually does not get rid of them until the disk requires the space they used to occupy for some other data. Unwipe takes advantage of this mechanism by looking for the hidden “deleted” files and recovering them to the system’s RAM, then another storage medium. The two-stage process translates to higher rates of successful recovery. It is also equipped with a fast searching tool that means users will not have to wait minutes to find what they are trying to recover.

The program needs to be installed on a drive other than the one where the deleted files were last kept. It also needs to be installed on systems with Windows operating systems: XP, Vista and 7 are all supported, with 32-bit and 64-bit support for the latter two.
