What is Universal Viewer?

Universal Viewer is a program for Windows-based computer systems that allows the user to view files of various formats. This means that the software functions as a viewer for image, graphics and photo files; as well as documents, media files and Web files.

For image files, the software supports popular image formats including BMP, TIFF, JPG, PNG, PSD, WMF and GIF. The program also allows the user to extract raw image files from digital cameras.

As a document viewer, users are able to view MS Office files such as Word documents and Excel files; plus Adobe documents such as PDF files. Rich Text files, binary, hex and Unicode are likewise supported by the Universal Viewer software.

For media files, users are able to run formats generally supported by Windows Media Player including AVI files, WAV, MID, WMA, MPG, WMV and MP3; plus ASF, 3GPP, 3G2, VOB, AC3, FLAC, FLV and OGM. No additional codecs are required in order to run these files on the computer.
