UltraZip is from Gooch Computer Services, which is known for at least one other archiving program. The program is basically used to manage zipped or archived files, and to that end boasts an intuitively-designed user interface for it. The interface is uncluttered and boasts a ribbon of commands supplemented with graphic icons at the top of the window: examples of the commands there would be Extract, Scan and Test. Using the program, a user can open an existing archive and view its contents in the program’s window as he would see folder contents in Windows explorer. It is possible to open the files contained in that archive then or even to edit them—the user can delete files within an archive, move them, rename them, or add new files. The program also allows the user to select whether or not he wants it to always overwrite the existing archive files, never do that, or always ask for a prompt.
Extra features in the software include password protection of archives, wildcard usage, and storage of relative paths. The software will also work on computers using Windows NT, Me, XP, 98 and 2000.
Our users primarily use UltraZip to open these file types:
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files UltraZip can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
