If you are looking for SpecialSavings, you have come to the right place. We explain what SpecialSavings is and point you to the official download.
What is SpecialSavings?
The Special Savings Addon is a browser plugin for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox that directs you to the best and hottest deals from your favorite retail stores, and offers you coupons and discounts to further save money. The only catch is that you need to browse through and purchase the items that you want through the Special Savings website so that you can be eligible for the discount or the promo, or so you can print out the vouchers or the coupons (or at least get their reference codes, which can be presented to the merchant in case you want to claim the merchandise face-to-face). To facilitate this process, a Special Savings addon is created that pops up whenever you find a product that is available from any of Special Savings’ partner retailers, and will often give you a link to the product page.
This is of course obtrusive and users often complain about it, as it would rather pop up at the most inconvenient of times. Experts recommend that such addons, plugins, or browser helper objects (BHOs), which are often toolbars, be uninstalled and removed if they’re non-essential or they’re not used, since they usually just bog down your computer’s performance and may present a security risk or vulnerability.
