Sony’s ACID Music Studio is the simplest but still feature-rich alternative to the company’s ACID Pro. This music production program also includes mixing utilities for those eager to create their own remixes and sports such professional studio recording effect options as reverb, flanging, echo, audio reversal, distortion, and tempo/pitch adjustment. Users employing it for soundscape creation have their own box of tricks to draw from as well, one of which is the software’s ability to assign sound effects by event instead of channel.
MIDI users and editors have access to the program’s Beatmapper utility, which automatically identifies track tempos and permits their alteration. Editing can be done online for convenience, through MIDI timelines. Tempo curve effects can be used to effect restrained and polished transitions in songs or video soundtracks while elastique Pro time stretching works with the Beatmapper to produce more dramatic shifts without the usual loss of audio clarity.
The Studio 10 iteration of the software also comes with the Studio Devil British Valve Custom amp-emulator software and the TruePianos Amber Lite piano software bundled in. Both are plug-ins for the program that enhance the Virtual Studio Technology experience.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files Sony ACID Music Studio can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
