What is SoftStylus?
The SoftStylus is a software for handwritten recognition that is used for inputting data on a personal computer or a mobile device like smartphones, laptops, netbooks and tablet PCs using natural handwriting system. It is created by Motorola and works with Microsoft OS and mobile platforms like Android, Apple and RIM. It is available for purchase.
With the SoftStylus utility, users can simplify their data input on their device's touchpad keypad using a flexible and stable stylus that simplifies, quickens and stabilizes accuracy of character and symbol selection.
Its features include the Connective strokes so users write in their own natural handwriting without having to use shorthand movements, the Disordered strokes where words are not broken by a letter with a different stroke and the Cursive writing stroke that allows for a seamless and continuous writing. The SoftStylus also incorporates a handy Phonetic assistance feature that is designed for users needing input assistance. There is also the Writer adaptation that lets the application learn the characteristics and styles of the user's handwriting and adapt to it.
The SoftStylus supports most computing languages and characters such as English, Chinese, Czech, German, Thai, Turkish, French, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Spanish, Polish, Italian, Dutch and Danish.
