What is Snapfish Picture Mover?

The Snapfish PictureMover application is a free and downloadable desktop application developed by Snapfish that enables you to instantly move your pictures from your camera or memory card (connected to a computer or an interface to a computer) directly to the Snapfish website. The Snapfish Picture Mover comes usually preloaded in new HP machines, especially Snapfish is maintained and owned by the Hewlett-Packard company. The Snapfish Picture Mover not only moves images, but can also create copies of both photos and videos from your computer; as of this moment the Picture Mover only runs on computers using the Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. No current plans for a Mac or Linux version is apparent and Mac users are advised to use Snapfish’s simple upload tool instead (a web-based interface for uploading photos and video).

Snapfish is mostly free, and a photo-sharing and photo-printing website owned by HP, similar in style to Flickr. Once uploaded however the photos can be shared indefinitely, but to download the photo, even your own, you have to pay Snapfish a small fee. Such a fee is waived for the first 20 downloads of a new member to Snapfish.
