What is ScanSnap Manager?
ScanSnap is a scanner for MAC OS created by Fujitsu. Its driver was specifically developed by Fujitsu to make the ScanSnap scanner compatible with the MAC operating system. The driver manager makes different editions of ScanSnap scanners available for Apple MAC computers. This includes the ScanSnap S300M, S510M, S500M, fi-5110EOXM scanners. The latest version of ScanSnap scanner has improved features and added functionalities. Fujitsu added its profile function. It also supports other languages such as Chinese (traditional), Italian, German, Russian, Spanish and Korean.
The ScanSnap scanner only runs in the MAC operating system, supporting both old and new versions MAC OS, specifically MAC OS v10.5, v10.4, v10.3 and v10.2.8. It also supports other Apple products such as iMac, Mac Pro, Mac Book, Mac Book Pro and Mac Mini. Other supported platforms by ScanSnap are Power Mac G4, Power Mac G5, iMac G4, iMac G5, iBook G4 and Emac G4. The ScanSnap scanner is a high resolution graphics scanner for MAC, requiring high processors and RAM specifications such as a dual core 1.83GHz processor or higher, at least 1GB RAM for Mac OS v10.5 and 128 or 512mb RAM for other versions. The installation process of ScanSnap software needs 27.8mb of free space from the hard drive for its components.
