What is Roboreader?
Roboreader is an image file viewer equipped with considerable file format compatibilities: it can open ICO, JPG, JPEG, TIFF, TIF, JPE, JFIF, GIF (including animated GIFs), BMP and PNG. It is also compatible with archived sequential images, including those packed into the CBR, ZIP, RAR and CBZ file formats. This means that users will not have to extract or unpack these archives prior to viewing the images inside them.
Unlike most other image viewers, Roboreader does not supply navigation buttons (at least, none besides Exit and Maximize) in its default view. Instead, users have control it by using their keyboards. Further menus are accessed by right-clicking on the window, and this brings up options for settings as well as the Help option. The mouse can control the viewer to some extent, though: the cursor can be used to drag the window when in the minimized (not full-screen) view and the mousewheel performs the zoom in and out functions.
Roboreader has the ability to show two images at once on the same window (dual-page mode), can resize images to better fit the user’s screen, and is also able to use hardware acceleration for improved performance.
