What is Rhapsody?
The Rhapsody software is a free application from Rhapsody, an online music service similar in concept and purpose to Apple’s iTunes; it basically sells digital audio to consumers so they can legally own an MP3 of a song they like without having to resort to downloading them illegally or pirating them. Originally part of the RealNetworks technology, in 2010 Rhapsody became independent and launched its very own online music subscription service outside of RealNetworks’ umbrella. Like other online music subscription services, Rhapsody enforces a DRM (digital rights management) limitations on downloaded audio, such as for AAC or WMA files, although it also sells other media without DRM that can be enjoyed indefinitely once purchased; these media (MP3s) have a 256k bit rate. Rhapsody is arguably the first of its kind, though it was later eclipsed by the emergence of Apple’s iTunes Store.
Rhapsody, as a software, is concerned with creating and managing your digital music library, and even to buy music directly from Rhapsody’s collection. This software allows users to sync their library and its contents with portable music players such as iPods and other MP3 players. This software is compatible with Windows and other mobile devices (e.g. iOS, Android, BlackBerry OS, etc.).
Find the official Rhapsody download
File.org does not provide software hosting. Usually we provide a link directly to the developer's site, to make sure you download the latest, original version of the program.
Unfortunately, we do not have the current download link for Rhapsody in our records.
Heads up: The link above performs a search for the product installer on the Givero search engine. We do not necessarily endorse the content of the sites shown in their search results. Use common sense before downloading software from the internet.
About file types supported by Rhapsody
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files Rhapsody can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
