If you are looking for Registry Mechanic, you have come to the right place. We explain what Registry Mechanic is and point you to the official download.
What is Registry Mechanic?
PC Tools’ celebrated Registry Mechanic is one of the first registry cleaners to have come out of the market, pioneering the technology, and has remained the most well-known of these types of software. Registry cleaners are, by definition, not supported and endorsed by neither Microsoft nor Apple for their respective operating systems, although the developers of this kind of programs are adamant in their claim that their software can fix problems inherent in the nature of the Windows registry. Most of registry cleaners are therefore third-party developed.
Registry Mechanic works just like any registry cleaner (though it certainly was one of the pioneers). It scans your Windows registry for errors, which either removes them or tries to collect sufficient data to fix the contents of the entry. This is a critical part of a Windows registry, because these entries describe how programs behave, how they interact with each other (and to you), among others, and left alone, the registry will become bloated and bulky. Registry Mechanic trims the fat off, in effect, from the registry, which marks a considerable improvement since a more streamlined registry makes programs run faster (reducing downtime, for example, of programs of checking an erroneous registry entry).
