RecordNow comes from Roxio and is a utility for backing up and organizing their music collections. It can copy music from various audio sources, including CDs (but not ones with digital rights management or copy-protection on them) and iPods. The user can then copy that music onto a disc or some other storage medium to ensure that he has a backup file. The user can even copy it onto a DVD to create a special music disc with added features.
Users have some basic audio editing options in RecordNow. For example, audio trimming is possible, as is audio splitting and enhancement. It also has basic audio cleaning options for those who need to reduce the audible artifacts in music copied from analog media such as tapes.
Tracks can also be tagged for easier sorting and search later on. The user also gets some audio file format conversion if he finds that his current collection is in a format incompatible with his playback device of choice, e.g. his smartphone. Moreover, the program has batch processing abilities for several of its features, including ripping-from-CD and file format conversion.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files RecordNow Audio can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
