RealNetworks developed a multi-media player called RealPlayer that lets users play, download, organize, and share audio and video files. This media player accepts a variety of audio and video file formats which is actually comparable to Windows Media Player. What makes this multimedia player more different is that it enables video downloading straight from the web to the computer in just a single click. Videos can be also converted to MP3 with this software.
RealPlayer’s first version started way back in 1995. Throughout the years, it’s been considered as one of the common media management software worldwide. The latest version is RealPlayer 15.0 which is a Basic Player that is downloadable for free. This new version works not only for computers but also with other devices such as iPod, iPhone and Blackberry. Newest features include private mode, Facebook videos, device transfer, photo slideshow and sharing, synchronization of playlists between two devices, music album creation, and improved security. There are other improvements of the old features such as the Artist Info display during offline, video download via Firefox through HTML5 format, easy login button, and conversion of video and audio files into various formats.
