If you are looking for ProSafe Plus Utility, you have come to the right place. We explain what ProSafe Plus Utility is and point you to the official download.

What is ProSafe Plus Utility?

ProSafe Plus Utility is a program developed by NETGEAR. The most used version is 2.2.8. The software is designed to connect to the Internet, and it adds a Windows Firewall exception in order to do so without being interfered with. The main program executable is ProSafe Plus Utility.exe. The software installer also includes 13 files and is usually about 17.53 MB. In comparison to the total number of users, most PCs are running the Windows 7 SP1, as well as Windows 8.

To take advantage of the enhanced features on ProSafe Plus switches, users can install and use the ProSafe Plus Switch Utility. The utility is on the Resource CD shipped with ProSafe Plus switches. The utility also uses two network programs, WinPcap and Adobe AIR, to process network commands. If not already installed on the user’s PC, these two programs will also be installed, and will be placed in his program directory. This creates a NETGEAR subdirectory under the Program Files directory on their PC. Installation then copies the utility program into their Program Files/Netgear/ProSafe Plus Utility directory, and places a utility icon on the PC desktop.
