What is progeCAD Standard?
progeCAD Standard is software for creating CAD designs. The software is loosely based on another type of CAD software, AutoCAD; in that the user interface displays toolbar icons in much the same way as these appear in AutoCAD; plus tool commands are also similar to that of AutoCAD’s. In addition to its “AutoCAD-like” features, progeCAD Standard is also able to read and edit AutoCAD files rendered in their native formats: DWG and DXF.
The software is generally utilized to create 2D designs. Users are able to customize tool palettes. They can also view all modifications applied on the design through the history option located at the bottom part of the user interface. progeCAD Standard also features a calculating tool, which is able to automatically calculate measurements of an object.
A file converter is included in the software, for converting a PDF file into a DXF format. Also, designs created in progeCAD Standard can be exported to DWF format. Redline and markup support, hatch editing, PLOT command, AutoCAD command line, script recorder, and COM support are some of the other features of the standard version of the software.
Recommended operating system is at least Windows XP.
