If you are looking for Prezi Desktop, you have come to the right place. We explain what Prezi Desktop is and point you to the official download.
What is Prezi Desktop?
Prezi Desktop is software that provides that user with a program for creating presentations, which in Prezi jargon, are called “prezis.” The Desktop version allows the user to create presentations even while offline. There are also versions for online use, as well as for Apple devices, particularly iPhone and iPad.
Basically, the user is provided with an offline tool that will enable them to create or edit existing prezis. When the program is launched, the user will be provided with a blank presentation window, which is the Prezi Editor. Users may import their prezi files from their online library or from a folder on the computer.
The user creates a diagram with several paths; each path is presented in thumbnail view in the editor window, on the left side bar. When a thumbnail is selected, its location on the diagram is highlighted. The user can then edit the path by going to Edit Mode. Here, the user can edit the attributes contained within the path.
Presentations are saved in the default format of PEZ (.pez), which can only be opened when Prezi Desktop is installed on the computer. If the user wishes to view a prezi without having to install the desktop software, they may convert their prezi into a portable file through the Download option from the user’s online Prezi account. The downloaded file automatically converts to a portable prezi file, for presentation purposes only. This means that the portable file cannot be edited.
Prezis created from the desktop software may also be exported to PDF format via the Print to PDF option.
