PotPlayerBits is another name for the media player known as PotPlayer, from Daum. The program’s distinguishing feature is in the wide number of formats its internal codecs support: just about every current audio/video format can be played by the software, from the common AVIs and MP4s to HEVCs and PLSs.
The program is also known for its compatibility with a broad number of Windows operating system versions. It can run on even the old Windows 95 and Windows 98 versions as well as on Me, NT, 2000 and XP, all the way through Windows 7 and 8. Furthermore, both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of these systems run the software without any compatibility issues presenting.
The software is skinnable, and several hundred skins have already been published by the developer for free (the program itself is freeware too). Digital TV hardware is supported by the application, as is live broadcasting. The program also displays subtitles, allows users to customize even the color themes of the skin being used, plays back media while maintaining low system resource usage, and is available in a portable (non-installing) version.
Our users primarily use PotplayerBits to open these file types:
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files PotplayerBits can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
