PHP Expert Editor

What is PHP Expert Editor?

The Ankord PHP Expert Editor is an integrated development environment with support for a number of the most common programming languages, including Java Script and Python. While the “Expert” in the name might suggest that it is a tool restricted to the professionals, it can actually be scaled down to accommodate more modest and less advanced PHP editing projects for learners. While it comes with its own HTTP-server for testing and checking PHP scripts, the program has support too for external servers, if the user prefers to use one.

The program also has UTF-8 support, maximum customizability in syntax highlighting, an inbuilt tool for debugging PHP scripts as well as checking their syntax, explorers for files/projects/libraries/codes, and several macros. There are at least two choices for interface design as well: the Classic version and the XP version.

In order the run the program, the user needs to have preinstalled several other applications on his system. This includes, of course, a Windows OS (the program does not have a Mac version), preferably Windows 98, XP, NT, ME or 2000; the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser; and, last but not least, PHP.
