If you are looking for OrcadR Capture, you have come to the right place. We explain what OrcadR Capture is and point you to the official download.
What is OrcadR Capture?
OrCAD Capture is a tool for designing electrical circuitry schemas. Besides having advanced utilities for creating complex schematics, the program allows users to create customized design rule checks for validating the efficacy of their plans, includes its own searchable component information system, allows users to visualize and analyze signal integrity within their designs, and is able to produce netlists.
Users can search for parts through the component information portal as well, which lets them see specific manufacturers’ newest items, the data for which can be downloaded and added to the OrCAD Capture CIS. TCL TK scripts are supported by the program for users who want automation; the program uses open architecture for maximizing user access to customization resources. An Intelligent PDF feature renders OrCAD files compatible with Adobe Reader with all details intact.
The program also has tools for editing properties, bypassing established DRCs, automation of wiring in schemas, title block editing, and hierarchical annotation. Finally, an integrated marketplace for accessing PCB designing resources and editing utilities is supplied, as is a 3D footprint viewer. The OrCAD Capture software is a paid product, but there is a free (Lite) trial version available.
