If you are looking for Norton Anti-Theft, you have come to the right place. We explain what Norton Anti-Theft is and point you to the official download.
What is Norton Anti-Theft?
Norton Anti-Theft is software developed by Symantec Corporation that provides the user with an application to prevent their portable devices like laptops, smartphones and tablets from being stolen.
The software (or app for smartphones) needs to be installed on the device that will be tracked down. Before the program can be utilized, the user must first create an account with Norton Anti-Theft. Once an account has been created, the user needs to install the software or app on the device. They add the device to their account so the program can begin tracking it.
To see the current location of the device, the user must once again log-in to their account. They will be provided with a map that shows where the device is. If the user suspects that the device has been stolen, they can lock the device through their account so whoever holds it will not be able to use the device. For locked devices, the location is tracked every five minutes.
Norton Anti-Theft can be downloaded for a fee. A trial version is available, good for use for up to 7 days only.
