Netzip Classic is a zipping and unzipping tool from RealNetworks developed for systems that run on Windows. By default, the software creates compressed archives in ZIP format; but it is also able to create self-extracting EXE archives, allowing users to send these EXE files to users that do not have a decompression utility installed on their machines.
For decompressing archives or extracting files, the software is capable of opening archives created in any of the following formats: ZIP, LHARC, TAR and ARJ. Users can immediately view files contained within an archive, in a way that they view files on Windows Explorer. This means that the user does not have to extract all files first before getting a good look at all the files.
To zip or unzip files, the user does not have to open the program from the Start menu, or from its destination folder. Right-clicking on the archive will automatically unzip it, while right-clicking on a file will launch the zipping tool.
In addition to its zipping and unzipping features, the software also provides the user with a download manager, which basically gives them the option to schedule, pause or resume downloads.
Our users primarily use Netzip Classic to open these file types:
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files Netzip Classic can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
