Microsoft Synchronization Manager

If you are looking for Microsoft Synchronization Manager, you have come to the right place. We explain what Microsoft Synchronization Manager is and point you to the official download.

What is Microsoft Synchronization Manager?

The Synchronization Manager is a tool in Windows (starting from Windows XP) that lets you synchronize offline files with files from the network, thus making sure either is up to date. This is especially important when you are downloading files from a network and may not have access to it all the time – the Synchronization Manager handles this deftly by comparing the two files (one offline, usually which you possess and are writing, and the other on the network) and updating as necessary on which is the most recently modified. This ensures that the material you are working on is kept up to date, on the fly, and hassle free. Among its capabilities, it can, for example, synchronize a website on the Internet with your copy of the website on your hard drive, if you want to browse in offline mode.

Though users may not always use this feature, since in modern times our computers are connected to a network all the time (especially with the steady rise of cloud computing), it still has its uses for consumers who may want to continue their work offline, without continuous network access, or simply because offline files are easier to modify on your own hard disk instead of through a network.
