Maxthon3

If you are looking for Maxthon3, you have come to the right place. We explain what Maxthon3 is and point you to the official download.

What is Maxthon3?

Maxthon3 is a Web browser that is based on Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. This version of the browser provides the user with two skin options. The default skin for the browser is called Modern, but the user has the option to change it to the Classic version by opening the Switch Skin tab.

The interface also provides the user with the option to display their avatar. If an avatar is not activated, a smiley face displays in its place. Clicking on the smiley face will open the User Panel. Settings are configurable through the Menu button. Users have the option to remove or add elements.

By default, standard options displayed on the interface are the Avatar and User Panel, Standard Tool Bar, Address Bar, Search Bar, and Menu. The Status Bar is located at the bottom of the interface, and at the bottom right corner of the interface is the Ad Hunter or ad blocker, which displays the number of pop-ups blocked the browser. Navigation buttons include Refresh, Homepage, Favorites, and Undo.

The browser also features the Dual Display Engine, which can display Web pages rendered in the old standards, on top of displaying new style websites. Clicking on Retro Mode will display old style Web pages, while the Ultra Mode option displays pages created using the new standard.
