Mathcad was first introduced in 1986 for DOS, and the first to launch live editing of typeset mathematical notations, alongside automatic computations. Mathcad is a computer software purposely for verifications, validations, documentations, and reuse of engineering calculations. Based on Parametric Technology Corporation’s studies, Mathcad is the solution for engineering calculations, intended for scientists and engineers from different disciplines, most often those coming from electrical, chemical, civil engineering, and mechanical disciplines. Mathcad was conceptualized by Allen Razdow of MIT. He is also the co-founder of Mathsoft. Mathcad is currently owned by PTC, and is known as the first computer application to compute automatically and check the consistency of engineering units. These units include the International System of Units, throughout the whole set of calculations.
Today, Mathcad has some of the capabilities of a computer algebra system. But now, Mathcad is aiming for a more effective method on how they can improve their software and other engineering apps. PTC Mathcad is a solution made for analyzing, sharing, and solving some complex engineering calculations. This software is offered with an easy-to-use interface. It has a live mathematical notation, calculation capabilities, and a strong unit intelligence. It lets engineers and design teams communicate and capture their design and engineering knowledge.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files Mathcad Professional can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
