What is Mahjong Escape Ancient Japan?
Mahjong Escape Ancient Japan is a Mahjong solitaire game developed by SpinTop Games and published by PopCap Games. The game takes the player to old Japan, traveling through twelve historical eras.
The game is the second installment to the Mahjong Escape series, the first one being Mahjong Escape Ancient China. There are two game modes available: Emperor’s Challenge and Classic; and three difficulty levels: Relaxed, Normal and Expert.
There are also two hundred levels to choose from, with each one providing the user with a specific number of free tiles. Each level is given a specific name as well such as Bridge, The Empire, Castle, Silence, Inner Sanctum, Shrine, Reflection, Secrets and Parliament.
The game includes various tile designs and background themes, an undo option, hint, shuffle, and information on number of tile matches available as well as remaining tiles that can be used. For first-time players, instructions on how to play the game are provided right on the game interface.
