Magic Video Converter is a program from Magic Video Software, Inc. that installs a set of tools for converting and burning video files. The user is able to burn their videos into any of the following optical disc formats: DVD, SVCD and CD. The program is capable of handling some of the most widely-used video formats today: DIVX, SVCD, VCD, RMVB, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DVD, RM, MOV, AVI and WMV.
The program’s interface is integrated with a utility for previewing the videos, allowing the user to get a preview of their converted videos directly on the user interface. This means that the user does not need to open a separate media player in order to view the converted videos.
In addition to its conversion function, the program is also able to split videos into several clips. In order to see how the videos are split, the software allows the user to play the videos as they are being split, to enable the user to determine at which exact point to cut the video file.
Magic Video Converter is distributed as proprietary software. The user can try the software for up to 30 days. It is compatible with Windows (from 98 to Vista), and is available in English and German.
