If you are looking for Lumion, you have come to the right place. We explain what Lumion is and point you to the official download.
What is Lumion?
Lumion is illustrative software intended for people working in architecture, construction, and engineering. The basic process involves the use of other graphics software (CAD programs like Autodesk Revit, Trimble Sketchup, and Graphisoft ArchiCAD) to produce images that can be used as input for Lumion’s visualization process. The output comes in the form of professional media like finished videos and images that can be used by architects or engineers to display their work.
Lumion is part of the series of programs that belong to the Building Information Modeling category of software. Unlike many programs preceding it, though, Lumion was built with a zero-3D-graphics-experience customer in mind, rendering it usable even without special training for 3D visual production. It also incorporates a part-of-the-package library of predesigned models for objects like water and flora that make it possible for users to simply select their preferred objects and insert them into scenes as they wish. Users are also allowed real-time video editing.
There are two "full" versions of Lumion in circulation, both of which are paid and can only be used with Windows computers. The professional version has more features and includes a larger library of predesigned models.
