ImageView is an image viewing application, which plugs into the default Windows interface and provides additional support for functions that extend the usability of image-viewing processes and image manipulation. It supports multiple image formats, including popular formats such as JPEG, GIF, and PCX, for viewing and editing. Manipulation of an image can be done via mouse or keyboard (or even through just a mouse, as the design of ImageView is essentially point-and-click), and custom scripts or macros can be written to automate common, repetitive tasks, such as zoom degrees when opening a new image for the first time.
ImageView is also supervisor friendly in that mask can be made on an image, which would require a supervisor or a computer administrator to unlock; annotations can be likewise attached to an image, which is used to put notes or reminders on an image, useful for group work (unlike text insert or captions this does not modify the image in any way).
ImageView also uses a software decompression system.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files ImageView can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
