What is Hamster Lite Archiver?

Hamster Lite Archiver is a program developed by HAMSTER soft. This is free software that allows the user to create archives as well as open archives to extract files. The program provides support for a variety of archive types such as ZIP, 7ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, RAR, ISO, LHA, LHZ, ARC and CAB.

The program features three levels of archiving: Minimum, Optimal and Maximum. It is also able to split files into several archives and encrypt archives through the Lock option. All archiving options are presented on the Graphical User Interface. The program features a box where the user can drop the files to be archived. Adding files to the window for archiving or extraction can also be done by pressing the Add button. At the top part of the user interface, the user can launch the task that they want the program to do: Create or Open.

In addition, the program has also pre-defined settings for creating archives for emails, CDs and DVDs. Hamster Lite Archiver is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and 7.
