What is Gemplus SmartDiag?
Gemalto created Gemplus SmartDiag which is a tool that enables computers, mostly Windows, in supporting and reading smart cards. It is a platform that verifies the availability of smart card readers, and smart cards, as well as OS services which allow smart card support.
Gemplus SmartDiag is compatible with a plenty of Windows operating systems. These include Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT4.0 with SP 6, Windows Millenium Edition, Windows 98 SE, Windows 98 and Windows 95. For Windows 95, it must have at least Internet Explorer 4.01 version and if it’s higher then better.
Gemplus SmartDiag is easy to access, download and use. To get this tool, simply download the software and install it on the computer system. Run this program by inserting a smartcard in the reader, launch the SmartDiag Diagnosis Tool and click the button “Start”. After that, click the button “Advanced View” to generate the SmartDiag report and save it on any folder on the computer. After successful installation, this tool is available to use. That’s when users can depend on inserting smart cards for various applications.
