If you are looking for GameRanger, you have come to the right place. We explain what GameRanger is and point you to the official download.
What is GameRanger?
GameRanger is an online gaming portal developed and maintained by Scott Kevill. It also provides the GameRanger software, which allows the user to play with friends online. The software was originally distributed in three versions: Basic, Silver and Gold. The Basic edition is the free version, allowing users to add up to 50 friends, while the Silver and Gold editions are the paid versions of the software. These allow the user to add 100 and up to 500 friends, respectively.
The software today is distributed solely as freeware. Once it is installed, the program launches a user interface where the option to view all available games, add friends and host games are provided. The user may also join games. Under the Games option, the user is provided with the following details: Game Title, Host, Description, Ping, and friends currently playing the game. When a game has a green button displayed, it means that it is already being played. If a lock icon is displayed right next to the green button, it means that the user may no longer join the game as other users have already started playing it.
GameRanger can be installed on both Windows and Mac platforms.
