eCopy Desktop Application

What is eCopy Desktop Application?

The eCopy Desktop Application is primarily an OCR (optical character recognition) application, which was superseded by the eCopy PaperWorks, which is itself replaced by the eCopy PDF Pro Office suite. In each iteration, the eCopy line of software allows users to capture, edit and save documents that have been scanned and then output it as a PDF file. Alongside this core capability, the eCopy Desktop Application also offers other tools such as annotation and stamp utilities, which is useful in enterprise and corporate settings as part of the workflow process, especially in the dissemination and marking up of documents in collaborative settings.

eCopy also works with most scanning, network, and fax devices and their corresponding applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino Document Manager, and InterWoven WorkSite. This software can import documents from other sources, or use its built-in OCR capability to scan a document and convert it into a document (and then edit it as needed). eCopy also integrates with an ODMA-compliant document managers in a network.
