DRIVERfighter is a utility for updating hardware drivers installed on Windows operating systems. The software was developed by SPAMfighter, and enabled to run on several editions of the Windows OS: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP, in the 32-bit platform.
The software basically works in three steps: scan, search and update. First, the DRIVERfighter scans the computer for hardware devices installed on the system and their corresponding drivers. During the scanning process, the program will identify drivers that are already out-of-date. Next, the software searches the Internet for applicable drivers, and downloads the appropriate driver updaters. Lastly, once downloading has been completed, the program will install the updates onto the system.
In other words, the program helps improve hardware performance by identifying outdated drivers, and then providing the user with utilities for searching, downloading and installing updates. During the search process, the program directs the user to legitimate websites that offer corresponding driver updates. This reduces the risk of downloading malicious software.
DRIVERfighter is distributed as shareware. Users can try the program, but only for scanning purposes.
